How to Handle CPA + Class + Work

Every accounting majors know of the CPA exam. The daunting task of completing four less than fun exams within a set time period. It's something your work requires, and no one looks forward to it. For those of you who don't know much about the CPA exam, it stands for Certified Public Accountant and is a four part exam one must take in order to become a CPA.

Best Places to Eat Around Fisher

During the Master of Accounting program, you spend most of your time in Gerlach Hall. Most days you might only have a small break between class, work, and group projects to grab food so I am going to walk you through some of my favorite places to grab food on and near campus.   KSA Cafe

Being in Fisher as a Graduate v. Undergraduate Student

If you have been following along with my blog posts than you’ll know that I am a combined BSBA/MAcc student, meaning I attended Fisher as an undergrad for my first three years of college and am now taking my upper level accounting courses in the graduate program to get both degrees at the same time. This means that I have experienced Fisher as both an undergraduate and graduate student.

First Quarter Reflections

As the first quarter of the MAcc program came to an end, I was reflecting on my first quarter experience and what I wish I would have known at the beginning compared to what I know now. Graduate school is most definitely different from undergraduate, especially when you are attending a completely different institution. There are three key things I realized during my reflection of the first quarter that I think would be particularly useful to incoming MAcc students.       1. Graduate School is not the same as undergraduate

Back in the Shoe

Like most Ohio State students, my absolute favorite part of the fall is watching Ohio State football, and there is no better place to watch it than in the Shoe surrounded by 100,000 other fans. As a combined student, this is my fourth football season as a student but having a full year not in the stadium makes you appreciate it like it was the very first time.

From The U to The OSU

Hi everyone! My name is Victoria Nordquist, and as of Fall 2021, I am a current Masters of Accounting student here at Fisher School of Business. As you may be able to tell from my post title, I did not complete my undergraduate at Ohio State. I went to the University of Miami in Florida. However, I am originally an Ohio native and I'm from a small town near Dayton so I grew up hearing all about the Buckeyes!
