Background

Royce West graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Finance and was awarded an MBA from Case Western Reserve. He is also a CFA charter holder.

Royce has over 25 years investment-related experience in economics, equities, fixed income, and trading.  He is currently the Director of Equity Research and a Portfolio Manager at a large financial institution and has been teaching the Student Investment Management (SIM) class for both undergraduate and graduate programs since 2003.

Royce resides in Dublin with his wife, Bethany, and four children.

BUSFIN 7225 - Student Stock Market Investment Management
Advanced topics with industry analysis and stock valuation applied to portfolio management. Prereq: MBA 6223, BusFin 7220; or enrollment in SMB-Finance program.
BUSFIN 6225 - Core Capstone Projects - SMF
This course provides training in professional development skills. Topics include professional communications, networking, presentation skills, effective teamwork, & project management. The course also provides introductions to main career paths in finance to help students decide on their area of specialization. To enhance student learning, the course will include speaker presentations and company. Prereq: Enrollment in SMB-Finance program.
BUSFIN 4221 - Investments
Skills for valuation and theories and applications of CAPM, APT, and efficient markets; investment options, forwards and futures, interest rate parity, and relevant market regulation. Prereq: 3220, BusMgt 2320, 2321, and BusMHR 2292. Not open to students with credit for 722, 4220 or 4222.
