• International Experience as a Career Asset

  • Starting salary data from nearly 8,000 undergraduate business majors who graduated from four different universities across the U.S. between 2021-2025 finds that students who study abroad earned $4,159 more in their first job after graduation than those who do not, as published in The Forum on Education Abroad report, International Experience as a Career Asset.

• Ohio State CIBER Global Business Grant for U.S. Veterans & Military

  • A goal of the Ohio State CIBER is to provide training to students enrolled in The Ohio State University and across the region. As part of this goal, CIBER is committed to expanding Veteran Training in IBT (International Business and Trade) through the Ohio State CIBER Global Business Grant for U.S. Veterans & Military. The goal of this program is to provide financial support (up to $6,000) for students at all levels of study to attend peruse IBT trainings, credentials and global opportunities.

• Global Business Certification Grant

  • The Ohio State CIBER aims to provide research and training in international aspects of trade, commerce, and other fields of study. As part of this goal, CIBER is committed to providing training through the Ohio State CIBER Global Business Certification Grant Program. This program provides financial support (up to $500) for students who are pursuing global business certifications, such as the Certified Global Business Professional through NASBITE International.

Graduate Students

Prepare for a global career by globalizing your education. Each year, an increasing number of Fisher MBAs join multinational organizations that consider a global mindset a critical and valuable employee asset. Many of those same employers expect that the MBAs they hire will spend at least some of their professional lives working and living outside of the USA or their home countries. At the Office of Global Business (OGB), we help you prepare yourself for that global expectation by offering a variety of international opportunities that will challenge and stimulate you while teaching you to "lead from a global perspective".

CIBER Faculty Development in International Business (FDIB) Programs

• CIBER Faculty Development in International Business (FDIB) Programs combine business, academic and governmental visits, cultural experiences and university presentations in an international location. Participating faculty members, as well as business professionals, gain firsthand knowledge of how business is conducted in a particular region of the world and the opportunity to network with overseas counterparts.

Consortium for Minority-Serving Institutions & Community Colleges

• The CIBER Minority-Serving Institution (MSI) and Community College (CC) Consortium (CMCC) acts as a resource multiplier in connecting schools across the CIBER network with MSIs and CCs nationwide for the purpose of internationalizing business education, thereby increasing the visibility of and access to innovative development opportunities for faculty, staff and students.
• The CMCC consists of universities across the country that are home to the Centers for International Business Education & Research (CIBER), a Title VI grant provided by the U.S. Department of Education. The CMCC includes The Ohio State University, the University of South Carolina, University of Washington, George Washington University, Indiana University, Sand Diego State University, Brigham Young University, Florida International University, Georgia Tech, Texas A&M University, Michigan State University, and the University of Maryland. 

Ohio State CIBER Research Grant Program

• A goal of the Ohio State CIBER is to serve as a resource for the development and dissemination of knowledge needed for the United States to remain globally competitive in an increasingly dynamic world.  As such, we are excited to announce the launch of the Ohio State CIBER Research Grant Program.  The goal of this program is to provide financial support (up to $5,000) for students at all levels of study to work or faculty members to conduct research projects focused on issues related to international business and trade.

2024 Business Needs Survey

• U.S. companies are relying on international markets for growth and will continue to do so in the future, which in turn drives up the demand for international skills in the U.S. talent pool. The Title VI-FH programs meet this demand; without them, there will be less availability of highly trained individuals to hire. If the U.S. cannot compete globally, we put our economic stability and national security at risk.

Center for Operational Excellence

• The mission of the Center for Operational Excellence at The Ohio State University is to work alongside our members to foster that culture by using tried and true principles of operational excellence that can transform products, processes, and routines in any organization, in any industry. With a drive for excellence at the core of what they do, their collaborative relationships with members often focus on the following goals: making data driven decisions, increasing speed to market, reducing lead time, strengthening supply chain relationships, improving quality, creating a continuous learning culture, and developing collaborative leaders. 

National Center for the Middle Market (NCMM)

• The National Center for the Middle Market is a collaboration between The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, Chubb and Visa. It exists for a single purpose: to ensure that the vitality and robustness of Middle Market companies are fully realized as fundamental to our nation’s economic outlook and prosperity. The Center is the leading source of knowledge, leadership, and innovative research on the middle market economy, providing critical data analysis, insights, and perspectives for companies, policymakers, and other key stakeholders, to help accelerate growth, increase competitiveness and create jobs in this sector.
• Housed at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, the National Center for the Middle Market is the first center of its kind in the nation. The Center enthusiastically serves middle market firms, students, academic researchers, policy makers, the media, and other key stakeholders with interests in the health and well-being of the middle market. The Center is fully committed to funding and distributing the most credible open-sourced research, dynamically creating new knowledge, providing programs that drive value for middle market companies, and offering a well-informed outlook on the health and future of the middle market via the Middle Market Indicator.
